The specs
Processor: Quad Core Arm Cortex A9 coupled with Quad Core PowerVR SGX543
Connectivity: Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, and Optional 3g
Control: you guessed it they finally added dual analog sticks yeah and touchpad on the back plus accelerometer/gyroscope!

Also this will be using a new flash based media instead of UMD. Something similar to cartridges. All I can say is that it seems like this will be one badass machines. Also it will be available this holiday season. I know what I want for Christmas.

Yum... This system looks great specwise.

Part of me wishes there was a 3D display. The main thing generally separating this from a PS3/XBOX is mobility. Of course, the touchscreen/gyro should afford some novel experiences.

I'm tired of hearing that joke NGP = Nintendo Got Pwned its very lame.
Edit: Can't we just except both the 3DS and the NGP are both great in their own right?

I hate 3d it gives me headaches and I find it to be a fun gimmick at best, so I'm glad theres no 3d screen.

Hates jokes, hates 3d. Perhaps you should try being slightly more positive -- women like that sort of thing, and you'll live longer.

To each his own...

I find gaming in 3D to be a very different experience than watching movies in 3D. It's extremely immersive. If you add in a good set of headphones, it engages you on an emotional level simply not present without.

3D gaming depends entirely on the game. I've watched my friend play Civilization 5 on his 3D TV, and while it was cool it was largely pointless. But other demos I've seen from PS3 games make good use of it.

I have no doubt Nintendo will find interesting ways to apply 3D to their games.
