if you watch a video via SiB on N900 with tvout, then switch to a different app the video still plays on tv!! thats cool!

anybody else know this?

Tell you something interesting as well. Its more of a glitch. When using media player to play a movie - when you switch to another task it pauses the player. If however you get an email alert and click the little notification to switch into email - the movie keeps playing in the little task bar icon - its damn cool and I wish it was the norm.

lcuk did some experimentation on this a few months ago. I believe his goal was to spread a single application across both the internal display and the video out by having it use both RGB and YUV. I don't know what success he had.

Yes, I noticed the other day that when using the Nokia media player with TV-out, if you press the screen to bring up the buttons for pause etc., they only appear on the device screen, not the TV screen. I guess there are two frame buffers, then, which seems surprising.

Try playing "Angry Birds" on the TV. That looks really cool.
