By the way, one of the guys on stage is a big shot from nVidia.

Their plan is to at first allow players to do all other basic stuff except actualy fly around on your ship and combat.

For me it's enough to be able to change your skills, your ship fittings (which in some cases can take hours if you are really trying to push the limits of the ship's power output and CPU)
and use the market, in-game email and chat.

It looks like the Asus PadFone is real, and engulfs the entire phone into the body of the tablet:

Eh? I'm not sure how I feel about the form factor -- it's quite thick. Also, it would be very difficult to take a call if the phone should decide to ring.

I think it's a novel idea, but I'm not sure this is the right way to pull it off.

Yeah.. I'll skip on the PadPhone. Would have been smarter to do a Transformer-like full laptop that swallows a phone up. At least then it would justify the added thickness and losing your phone to the belly of a bigger beast. A tablet isn't quite the beast that I'd settle for having my phone disappear into.

Your choice is respected but I can't agree with it so much. Since you can have a bluetooth headset as a replacement and get the rid of the phone. Just my opinion though

Lots of news this morning.

The Asus MeMO pad has been officially unveiled, and it's a VERY interesting device:

http://www.engadget.com/2011/05/30/a...d-ips-display/

Get this:
7" screen
A whopping 1280x800 res
Glasses-free IPS 3D screen
Built in capacitive stylus
10 hours of claimed battery life
5MP shooter on back
Companion phone handset for making/taking calls!

This is such a well positioned product! For 7" Tab fans, this is a hard device not to take seriously. Especially considering that ASUS is good with the updates.

Lets hope that the SoC is great. It could be of Tegra fare, but the reviewer mentioned that it may be Qualcomm MSM8xxx.

Viewsonic has announced the ViewPad 7x!

http://www.engadget.com/2011/05/30/v...eycomb-tablet/

It is rocking the SoC of a typical Viewsonic tablet. Tegra 2 plus a 1024x600, but in a 7" form factor.

This is lust worthy! I'm glad to see 7" making a comeback.

But they better hurry and release it before the MeMO pad, or they will lose the title of "First 7" Honeycomb Tablet"...

Here's more dirt on the Asus PadFone:

Judge for yourself! I'm still so-so, but this could be solid. The device looks much thinner than I anticipated, which is a plus.

The Galaxy S2 hit a milestone with being the fastest selling smartphone in South Korea. This bodes well for sales in other parts of the world:

The Galaxy S2 will certainly compete with the iPhone more aggressively this go-around.
