As for MeeGo bug tracking... there's some preliminary exploratory work being done that will go public soon, after initial testing and feedback. Everything you brought up will be part of the public discussion.
Is there any need for this to be done behind closed doors? I'm slightly worried because I see some things on bugzilla.moblin.org that really grate (like Resolution: LATER and Component: *Feature Request).

Like I said: "Everything you brought up will be part of the public discussion".

The only part done in private was preliminary setup and testing, and I was informed that was simply to get something started quickly.
