I hope this hasn't already been posted in one of the giant threads I didn't have time to read... if so, apologies !

The upcoming HTML5 standard is going to bring along a lot of new stuff, including APIs for local storage that will enable offline web applications, replacing things like Google Gears.

In this clip, a Firefox developer demoes (in French, with English subtitles) such an app on the N900:

once firefox become as fast as microB if not faster..this is going to be amazing..no complex programming needed..ajax programming which is platform independent

just install firefox. looks good but its too slow so it wont be my main browser. if the page cant be opened by maemo default browser then i will try firefox at that time.

eventhough i know that maemo browser is from mozilla but i can only think that it has been optimized for n900. while the main firefox is not yet optimised.

Well, DOM Storage is available since FF2. Start MicroB, open the site and see for yourself
