Yep, had it since mars.. got seducted by it's debian linux interrior. I have even started to teach my self some basic programming so i can repay this community. It still blows me away what it can do..

Some tip:
a) learn about extras-testing and extras-devel repositories
b) install rootsh
c) install Faster Application Widget (better than the stock)
d) install Filebox (better than the stock)
e) install Dropn900
f) install Theme Customizer
g) learn about SSH (but is a bit advanced..)

Thanks to Vodafone messing up my contract and me taking advice from others in this comunity, I have managed to wangle a brand new Iphone 4 out of the buggers.

I will never stop messing about with my N900 though. It really is the best phone/tablet I have ever used, adictive as crack too.

N900 for best, Iphone for the rest

welcome to n900 world!! Here are some notes to get you started.
1. Start learning shell commands.
2. Enjoy fixing it rather than getting annoyed with it.
3. Explore it.
4. Prepare for trolls, dumb critics and hot headed persons here. Just ignore them they got no life.
5. Before asking here learn how to use search and keywords.

Beware you need to be little more techy than one using other smartphone else you may just regret. I am also expecting to get one for cheap price but hmmm seems like I still have to wait.

I would add to keep an eye on your rootfs folder if you're going to install applications from extras-testing and extras-devel, as you'll run into problems if it gets too full.

It's easy enough to put a widget on your desktop to show how full your rootfs is.

Kind regards,
D4rKlar

Hey mate! Take a look at my blog, there are some tricks... The blog is still new, but it'll be updated every week or so.

And welcome!

Or perhaps they have something they are genuinely unhappy about and feel should not be an issue in a device they paid so much money for. Is that not a possibility at all? Or is it the case that anyone that does not love every single thing about the n900 has no life?

You all need to get a room. Seriously. Do you sleep with your phones or does it just sound like it?
