Is there any reason this adapter couldn't be relied on to do the host mode? Based on what the Wiki says, this one should do the trick, too...

I use a "regular" set of head phones I use with my n800 all the time without any probs (that I can tell)
I also have a little dongle with the mic in it and a headphone jak, so I can use my jbl 410s as a wired headset...

You need to use the OTG script/hack mentioned in the wiki

A program called "EOS Time Sync" includes an applet that lets you toggle between Host mode and OTG mode.

Or just use the usb-otg-statusbar plugin:

My two arrived while I was away.

I like the "OTG" sticker to identify them.

Charmlike, they work.

Many, many thanks.

With regards to Ethernet adaptors, IIRC the Wii uses USB 1.1, and there are adaptors available for it. I'll have to give it a go when i get the chance (i have one).

OK. Bought three just 'cause they're so cheap, I couldn't resist.

May I make a suggestion to jolouis?

Perhaps you may consider editing your first post to include the website url for the product (or redirect to Post #52), international shipping options (Post #66), a photo of the product (Post #102) and even, perhaps, the excellent impressive photo of chronon's tested products (Post #108?).

So much more efficient that going through a lot of enthusiastic 'I'll buy one!' and 'Is this...?' posts and once the initial enthusiasm dies down, the first post would be a great concise description of the product.

Yup. I'm all about efficiency and nice background images (and radio stations)... .

Thanks for all the feedback guys, I'm glad to know that this is turning out to be so handy for so many people! Betty Woo had a great point, so as per your advice I've gone through and updated the original post so that it contains all of the relevant information for anyone who comes across it and hasn't been following the thread...
I'm not sure who to contact but it might also be worth turning this post into a sticky so that it's easy for others to find? I've put the info into the Wiki but I know most users often overlook or are not aware of the Wiki...
