Well, we're not dead just yet - and app-wise I don't see problems (as we will be QtQuick/Mobility compatible for quite some time to come, so pretty much whatever MeeGo has, we will have, too, barring HW limitations and DRM or locked services stuff).

There are many applications (new or upgrades) to be tested and evaluated in extras-testing.
In the forum there are many threads that talking about this issue.

better than epocrates ,better than existing ones ?

nah never,as i never thought of myself being a thx hungry ,it was just an idea though to have an app like that ,,nothing to get offended personally,seems community getting less support from nokia though it could be a platform for all new nokia phones,i suppose nokia should give a little too much support to fancy this platform..it will be as great as some one would have wanted it..
one should encourage new ideas ,this is how we learn new things and make new things ,
as they say neccesity is the mother of invention ))

Haven't seen any new apps for N900 since a long time specially on OVI Store.. Wondering if its market is going down compared to Android & Iphones?

OVI store by Nokia abandoned n900, so don't look there. We still have a compassionate community that releases updates (aircrack-ng 1.1 anyone). If anyone could port a terminal with full-screen support I would be happy as hell though
