It's probably too early to say but what happens to the "closed" parts of the n900?
e.g. phone functionality and gps hardware?

Without these basic elements the MeeGo port is of limited use.

Even so seeing the terminal (screenshot earlier) on the n900 is really exciting.

If you were to look around, you would see that there is a "closed" image for meego, as well as an "open" one.

Just to note that I needed to install gnu-tar to get this working - the busybox tar reported 'tar: invalid tar magic' when trying to extract the archive.
