so do you folks think Digia will do a good job to make Qt come alive (including on the Android platform)?

All the best to Digia. Wondering if they will be hiring former Nokia developers as well.

Also see http://blog.qt.nokia.com/2011/03/07/...king-together/

In summary, it seems that Digia are to purchase the commercial services part of Qt, i.e. the services that provide professional support to organisations that bought the commercial licence for Qt.

QT managed perfectly well before Nokia and will continue to do so now.

Its all good and business as usual.

This is definitely good for Qt. I guess Digia will get all of Qt when Nokia has shipped its last Symbian phone?

Well, it seems that the copy rights remain with Nokia. So, that means Digia is just handling the licensing work for Nokia. Hmm, not sure the deal is that significant after all.

One thing for sure, the stock market is not liking the idea. Here is today's Nokia stock chart. (The B flag marks the time when the Digia announcement was made.)
