If someone ports (and hildonizes) pywxwidgets for Maemo5 then TaskCoach would be yours.

I also had a look at Basket which is a Qt based GTD application and wondered whether it would work without the KDE base libs. In that case that would also be an option. A rather good one, btw.

I have now written a straightforward gtd app based with Qt (that I chose to call 'qtdone'); I haven't pushed it yet to extras, but I'll do that when pr1.2 w/ "official" Qt 4.6 comes out.

Fab!

Could you post some UI images?

Thanks!

An application that you should consider runs wonderfully on our device, Emacs org-mode

http://orgmode.org

There is a big learning curve for new comers, but the rewards are very high and it's designed to work simply out of the box.

Here is an introductory talk

http://orgmode.org/talks/index.html#sec-1

Some gtd specific ideas

http://members.optusnet.com.au/~char..._workflow.html
http://orgmode.org/worg/org-tutorials/index.php

To get setup
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...ighlight=emacs
http://sumoudou.org/%E7%9B%B8%E6%92%...ia%20N900.html

And since orgmode is basically text files, for the first time in my computing life, a two way sync actually works. Any file comparison program can compare the text files, so modifications on a pc and the handheld can be easily compared (I use kompare)

I've tried lots of "gtd" apps - life balance, bonsai, shadow, datebk6, outlook, eccopro (best ever, not great with linux), the tiddlys, the batf, etc. Orgmode on the n900 is the real deal.

For contact management, bbdb works well with emacs & org; now you can text & call directly from emacs!

Hello vivainio,

Thanks for posting the UI.

I've got three questions:

How do you create @contexts?
Any limitation in number of contexts?
Will it be able to sort by date of entry?

Thank you!

No context support yet. I'll add context filter selector to app menu at some point (soon?), with the obvious possibility to add contexts.

Thanks for the reply!

I just realized, could I run a copy of the file on a Linux desktop/laptop?

Great initiative!!

Basket is a problem, as I remember the development on it stopped and it was never ported to kde4 libraries.
An app that should be easy to port is Getting Things Gnome as its written in python with (obviously) GTK+. I use it on my desktop and it works pretty well.

Not out of the box as it's using the (excellent) Maemo5 extensions to Qt. At some point I'll also ensure that it compiles with vanilla Qt, since I want to deploy it for Symbian as well.

I never thought I'd deploy something on Symbian without being paid for it, but Qt makes it a reasonable goal ;-).
