Hi all you devoted fanatical (and rightly so...) n8x0 lovers.

Since I wasn't around much the last little while,
and since some peeps have (for some time now) been asking for a number of things that are well nigh impossible to find in our glorious new age of technological convenience,
and since I knew that we'd end up in this predicament ...so I was a wiley fox and made contingency plans and amassed a hoard ...consequently,
and lastly...since I did also make promises.

I'm now in the process of coming through and making good on those promises.

Once upon a time,
when the web actually had everything accessible for us n8x0 users to download ,I saw the future coming and that future did not smile on us benevolently.
So I saved ...EVERYTHING.
Cool stuff, some stuff you wouldn't believe, or never knew existed.
So much stuff it took up a LOT of storage.
Put links to a very tiny (pertinent) amount of it in my signature.
And thought all was well.
Unfortunately upkeep of it wasn't practical.
And those signature links are in disrepair.
So.
Now ...
I finally finished digging through my storage vaults ...
and am now in the process of uploading everything I had in those signature links and everything I have in my storage vault that is n8x0 related.
Once finished, I will state where it is and how to get there ...here at the bottom of this post and in my signature.
So no one should ever be concerned about where to find neato stuff...ever again.

It is a helluva lot .
So it will take some time to upload.
A week or weeks ...maybe longer.
So stay tuned.

Update:
It will take some time as I said, to upload everything I have squirrelled away.
So check in to my homepage on Internet Archive (at least weekly) to see (and download as rars and zips files for your own personal storage vaults) what new stuff is there.
I will post here , when I have finished uploading everything I have.

It's all on the Internet Archive at archive.org
My Internet Archive username/ creator name is ...of course .
"endsormeans".
You'll find everything...
as it is uploaded ...
from there.
Just look for my name or look under "Maemo" there and you'll find me.

Cheers all.

YOU'RE THE MAN!!! Thank you very much for your previous work and your present efforts!!! There is one new member who offered here his time for helping with things and maybe making catalogs. I think he could maybe help sorting out and categorize your stuff once you have dug them and downloaded. This may make me to swipe the dust off from my N810 which I updated to Diablo once with your help. I myself have been off from using maemo or N900. I hope I could shift on using that again.

Maemish....my man!
Good to hear from you.
Well...help is always good.
I'm sure the new guy will figure plenty out.

I decided after looking over archive os website...to upload the Maemo Knoppix distro ..that it was simply not enough.
So instead ..
I am uploading everything I have to the Internet archive for posterity,
and for folks to download it as rars and zips and help save and perpetuate all the hard work of so many before them,
so there are more vaults of gems than just mine.
And of course ...so folks can putter away at neat ***** and improve upon it..

And...
Instead of folks waiting for all of it to upload (which will take some time) ...folks can go to my Internet Archive homepage and find everything there as it finishes uploading...
So folks...check in at least once a week to see what is new that has been uploaded there.

I will inform everyone in my 1st post of this as well....
Where to find it all...
And to check in periodically to see what is new that has been uploaded..
And lastly...when I am finished uploading my Maemo Vault.

A link isn't really needed ...
Just look up "Maemo" there and you'll find me.
Or look up my creator name in advanced search....." endsormeans "

And it's at the Internet Archive....as in THE Internet Archive.

Thanks my good man.
I know qoles repo.
A kind fellow to host almost 10 GB on his own time and cost.
He's done so for years now.
And we cannot expect that to be forever.
Things happen.
Like what has happened over the years to so many independently hosted repos.
(That's why I saved as many as I could a long while ago...and now am putting all I have gleaned onto Internet Archive)

I am still uploading stuff as time permits me. It will take some time as I mentioned.
I can't recall if I have all or part of qoles repository .

If you or anyone else here could download qoles repository...then upload it to the Internet Archive...or someone do a snapshot of qoles repository and so save everything on Internet Archive in one fell swoop.
(Although in the past I have found internet Archive s whole website/ webpage snapshot function was spotty at best and tended to lose bits and pieces and whole sections of a snapshot.
Perhaps it is better now, but I don't personally take chances or do things the easy and quick way with so much important works that took so much effort to make ...by so many.)
