Whisky. Bought my last one long ago. Even if someone offered me the best of best I would still pass.

The whisky scene is a scam. Bad taste in an expensive pack.

Thanks. But ms coins must go to wine or...eggnog if I get them for Christmas. It’s not negotiable.

Its ok to have money. Just don't spend it on unnecessary things like nearly all material good... Or slow down rate of purchase. Instead of buying a new phone every 6 months, buy one every 8 months....

true. Im definitely buying less stuff now. eating less meat. biking like cracy. instead of diving a huge car. Thinking about buying a few electric vehicles but not sure how healty that is yet.

then we have flying. That really bad, really hard to avoid. possible pay extra if the have fuel efficient plans.

Good on you Dave....

I highly suggest electric.
they are better for the environment , MUCH cheaper to run, and fun too

It's been a year now for me, of solid daily driving this...

and it has been a great deal of fun...
zero repairs ...virtually zero maintenance...
got the torque of a honda civic..
excellent acceleration, excellent disc brakes, nimble quick, turns on a dime.
so as well as hauling a trailer of groceries weighing in at about 200lbs
I can carry a passenger ..
I have loaded it up with girl , cat and dog and headed off on day trips..
the range with a couple extra batts is the equivalent of the range a Tesla has
It takes perhaps 3 hours to charge a batt from a standard outlet and costs about 25 cents to charge..
and the money I have saved compared to a traditional vehicle...this last year now...I could buy 3 of these cycles a year in what I save....

E- Cycles are fun...and worth every penny.
Just get a reliable manufacturer.
There are a few new ones out there...
But I went with a reliable ..
I suggest Super Soco
frankly I suggest one for every member of the family...they are just too fun.

I've been considering an electric bike for two years now for my daily commute (70 miles round trip). It has to be not just road legal, but also motorway legal, do the round trip on a single charge with some mileage to spare and not be prohibitively expensive. Such bikes are few and far between, if they exist at all. I would be happy to stand corrected.

a super soco with 2 batteries (both in the tank cavity ..there is space for two there...) would definitely be more than enough

Road legal?
Motorway legal?
Really???
They aren't making these in basements or garages out back of the house pichlo
Mine meets Canadian and and my Provincial government standards (which are the most severe in the country)
I have no doubt it will meet yours.
as far as I know they sell them in the US, UK, Europe and elsewhere as well...

Much depends on the balance involved...
You can get a E Cycle that will do in town speed limit,
Motorway speed limit,
Highway speed limit,
and freakin' Autobahn speed limit.

But the faster you go...the faster the batts will drain.
Of course you don't need to go that fast always ...unless on a road that requires that minimum...
Super Soco makes up to the Highway speed limit in model classes...I believe.
There are others that go much faster.
My bike model came out last year...and when I got it..it was unique.
It still turns lots of heads..and I still get people daily asking me questions..
But ...
Now I am seeing all shapes and sizes and speeds zipping around me...

there are a solid number of companies now...
It depends what you want, and your use.

My experience after a year....of daily to and from work...off on day trips, grocery shopping ...sun, wind, rain and snow...

most certainly it is worth every penny.

My cat (Cat-O) ...he either sits in the soft shell trailer with my dog (Eddie)...
or if I use the hard shell I just built ..I put him in his cat mesh backpack and strap him to the luggage rack on top of the hard shell ....so he has a view...
Both of them love it.

Super Soco with their 1st model (2014-15)
built a 400lb capacity model that looks like a homage to a military motorcycle from the "great escape" steve mcqueen movie....
They also built a sidecar for it...
They are still available to buy...
But since it was built before they went Li-ion ..it is Lead Acid.
Meaning bigger battery, less battery lifespan, and less range...
The cost to convert one to Li-ion was the same price as the model which I bought.
At the time I was dubious of the tech and the company, about putting out a large chunk of money ...

Now...
I am going to be buying a second model like mine for company when they visit...and as a spare...
and I am looking around for one of the 1st models ....
I want to convert one to LI-ion ...so the boys can ride in the sidecar instead.
They have their helmets and goggles ...
they just need the aviator scarves...

Btw. I hope to visit the beaches of La Jolla some time next week. That's pronounced La Hoya!

There are a LOT of e-bikes sold in the UK. Almost all of them dirt bikes, for the off-road use. I found two (I counted them, TWO!) road legal ones. One of them is actually a scooter, limited to 25mph. I asked the distributor of the other one several times what the construction speed limit is and whether it is motorway legal. I never received any answer.
