So maesynth is monophonic, i.e., when you press a new key the sound of a previous playing note gets cut off.

Try running a finger quickly from left to right across they keys and you will get a very unnatural sound. This would sound ok (or even great) with synth sounds but not with a piano sounds. Would it be possible to not cut off the sound when pressing a new key? Or better yet, make it an option so that one could turn monophonic mode on or off. That would be useful once maesynth gets synth sounds as well

Hmmm, I'm having the same problem. What did you have to do? Manually install the libqt4-xxxx stuff?

ive just tried maesynth, its great, one issue is that if you play keys with very little timing in between them both, then some extra keys/notes usually play in between them for no reason! its more noticable if you turn the decay up to maximum, but it still happens with it off.

i know its early days yet for the program still being in development-its the best/only virtual n900 piano ive found yet would b nice with a wider range of keys to use too akin to the real thing-i can almost play axel f-aside from the extra notes playing, there just one of two keys missing to finish the song off, lol! great program

I think I might like the ability to be able to to set the starting notes of both octaves independently of each other. So that the upper row would start with C (or whatever) and the lower with F if I wanted it to:

DoReMiFaSoLaTiDo
FaSoLaTiDoReMiFa

Maesynth 0.2 now in Extras dev.
Requires PR1.2

-Polyphonic Keyboard
-Extra voices -Guitar and Voilin
-Mini Mixer
-New Beat Box interface to do your own beats

Additional octaves and physical keyboard actions moved to the next release.

Will push into Extras Testing in a couple of days.
