I've never actually gotten over 1Mbps for T-Mobile 3G. I'm ok with that though since I only pay 5.99 for T-Zones.

You guys are lucky... my T-Mobile 3G is worse than EDGE on AT&T. I've been extremely disappointed.

I think the problem here is coverage is so poor. Despite T-Mobile online map showing full coverage everywhere, I get such a weak signal. That surely doesn't help my speed.

To get hspa+ speeds, you need to have Smartphone Unlimited Web starting at $24.99 am I right? The $10 Web2go plan is only 3g?

That's a good question! I personally don't think the speed is regulated by the plan, but I'm not sure about T-Mobile, as I haven't switched yet...

At least with AT&T I had a very old 2G data plan and the same SIM worked in a 3G phone giving 3G speeds (not N900 though).

Can people with T-Mobile plans confirm or deny the above? Thanks.

My speeds have been getting worse with time... The phone regularly switches back and forth between edge and 3G. 3G speeds aren't that great for me around San Francisco bay area.
