Youre missing something .

If you wee to try this:

type "hey! sup!".

In PR 1.0 youd type H E Y then press and HOLD shiftkey, type ! while holding shift down, and release shift to get back to the original QWERTY layout. Multitouch!

In pr 1.1 you type H E Y, then press shift, and hold it down, type ! and release shift, and its still on the same layout (symbols layout). And then you have to press shift again to get back to normal QWERTY.

If that clears up what I mean ?

hmm well If you type, hey! and hit space it goes back. does that help?

works fine for me cus usually after a symbol at the end of a word, you do usually have a space.

Or can use swype to type which allows long press symbols too.

Doesnt really help me, no .

Swype longpress is far too slow, and swype on the N9 tends to be awesome with the exception of the A button in the middle of a word, which will too often cause me to start swiping the app away as if to background it.

I = sad panda.
