sorry for bringing up such old thread

i recently got my own n9 and now im trying to set up gtalk

the problem is i have no video call option, instead where the button is supposed to be there is a website hyperlink, which disappeard whenever i turn video calling off:



tried reinstalling, rebooting, removing locked stuff mentioned in this thread, but nothing worked.

any help?

Previously it was video call via XMPP but now google dropped that standard and are using Hangouts so its outdate...

IIRC, what you can do is ask someone on the desktop to initiate a regular video call (not video chat) and maybe that works.

ok, how do i do this?

i tried video calling from gmail website, it didnt work

is there any other way to get video calling on n9 today?

I think you are out of luck then...

Anybody else has problem with Google Talk connection (chat only). After 2 days, I couldn't connect because network problem.
