Yes, if you install it from the store. Like many things, it isn't bundled into the device out of the box.

Install zsh from mer-tools instead of worrying about it. You'll thank me later. :-)

At the moment, it's text messaging only.

Amazon appstore installed directly from the webpage:

www.amazon.com/getappstore

by clicking the link. Writing this post on Tapatalk installed from there. Tested the birdgame too. In the free one, adds work as well. ;-)

Can you PM me your Store user? I'll pass it on to the store folks.

Of calendar sync works with exchange, does IT sync multiple calendars or only the main calendar on the exchange account?
Calendar works, and I'm reasonably sure that contacts sync works too. I don't know if multiple calendars work off the top of my head, sorry.

Food for reviews:
- Call quality (at least in comparison with your old phone(s), state what phone(s) you had :-) )
- Reception (at least in your area, copmare with previous phone(s), same as above)
- Maps: offline maps? turn by turn navigation? public transport layer? directions using public transport? zoom bar (+/- buttons as opposed to pinch to zoom)
- Mail (does it work? easy to set up? IMAP?)
- Messages (would be nice to see it working with integrated social services)
- RSS reader/feeds (generally how they work)
- Browser (a more detailed review)

No. Nothing technical stops something like that being done (we use the same input method framework as the N9, a few generations further on) - there simply isn't a keyboard implemented like that.

Is it planned that there will be an official swype keyboard? I use it all the time on my N9, and find it very difficult now to go back to a 'normal' vkb. And it was certainly one of the big asks prior to the Jolla being launched, saw it on many "We'd like to see .." lists
