No, and how would that solve the problem? I would need to open the phone with the torx wrenches and I think they might be stripped. It's easier to just buy a replacement battery at that point. I HATE how companies started releasing phones with non user replaceable batteries. Stupid stupid idea to have to unscrew the whole phone. Batteries lose their life over time, even just a year or two they can lose a lot, and if you don't use the phone a lot this happens - plus it's easier to carry a small extra battery around than one of those stupid chargers that people carry!

Replacement battery will need to be charged, probably, upon arrival, too. So, you will need external battery charger, either way.

Four Torx screws on the outside of the N9? I have opened my N950, and had not a single screw stripped. But yes, I'm hesitant to put them back until I can be fully sure that I will not need to open up the phone for a long time.

About "stupid chargers": what do you think about battery charging stand DT-33? A word of warning: it does not include the wire (Nokia's 2mm AC-* charger), you will need to buy it, too (unless you already have one). ;-)
