Looking for a new Sports Tracker for your N9? MeeRun is now available on the app store! It is optimized for the N9 and has the following functionalities:

- Real-time distance, time, lap, speed, pace monitoring (in miles or kilometers)
- Jogging, biking, hiking, skating, ...
- Live map (optional)
- Lock screen (with run info and swipe-to-unlock)
- Statistics and diagrams
- Interactive offline replay
- Minimal resource usage (optimized for the N9 display)
- Torch icon (for night runs)
- GPX file format (export filtered and/or raw data)
- Intuitive UI

It tries to get the most out of the internal GPS of the N9 and combines several strategies to improve the signal:
- Kalman filter
- Remove irrelevant moves (small moves below the accuracy level)
- Removal of unlikely positions
- And more

About the map:
The live map requires an internet connection (that's the way the nokia plug-in works...) but if you don't want to connect, it will not bother you the whole time An offline map (based on openstreetmaps) is being finalized and will be added to a next release.

I hope you will like it because we have many plans for the next releases

Hah.. I swear I was thinking I just might need this app! Thanks!
Edit: I think I'll wait for a free version until I get a credit card

This is what I've waited for a long time. Orginal sport tracker is heavy and always freeze, pedometre is inaccurate. Thank you so much for this, so grateful and happy to see people still developing for harmattan.

Why not pay via telephone bill? I never paid anything in store with credit card... or is this country-specific?

Anyway, i paid via telephone bill, but downloading fails.

Edit: rebooted device, did not help... maybe i will try again tomorrow.
Something wrong with the package or a problem with store once again?

Edit2: I removed the atachment, it looks so negative. The app on the other hand looks amazing, pretty much, what i was waiting for, for a long time... hope nokia gets their store fixed, so that i can test it

... i wonder how it will work together with Billboard?

I'm happy with 'sport tracker' to be honest but I must say this application looks really good.
I really like the lock screen with run info
Might buy later on,
Thank you

It seems that Nokia needs some time to synchronize all its servers. I sometimes experience the same when downloading new apps, it will eventually work for you in a few hours.

I like the idea of this app, but as a fan and long time user of Sports Tracker, I wonder what makes this different.

There doesn't seem to be an accompanying web service. I wonder what the efforts could go to that's not something self developed, like an overall health tracker.

I don't see the music scrobbling, not the markets for pics taken while in a workout. I'd there something from that end planned? Perhaps using any of the user's accounts for pic services to track and upload automatically there?

Wonder if I could make an action to export each workout into Evernote when I'm done, then tweet results?

Nice work. Will most likely take a poke into this
