I'd like to block an IP from being accessed from my n900. In normal linux land I would use IPTables for this. What are my options for Maemo?

I've tried using the /etc/hosts file to re-route it to 127.0.0.1 but I don't think that works because it is an IP, not a domain, so no DNS is required.

Exactly the same! use iptables like you would on "normal linux".
