Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone has ported Devils Pie to Maemo5.

I would like to be able to permanently run a terminal (full screen, no window border) on one of the desktops and I figured Devils Pie might be the way to go, as it happened to work fine on my regular desktop computers.

I have tried to compile the source for ARM myself, over a year ago but failed, probably because of a lack of knowledge, so I am hoping someone else might have succeeded.

I don't see how this would work with Maemo at all.

All applications run full-screen under Maemo, and the desktops are purely for widgets/shortcuts. They're nothing like the virtual desktops used by most desktop Linux distributions, so there's nothing Devils Pie can do.

Hi Robin,

I hadn't looked into it closely, but I had hoped it would be possible to send an app to the desktop as a sticky, more or less the way widgets do. And as such I figured devilspie might be of interest.
