I uploaded a python package to drop.maemo.org, everything got built correctly, but there was one problem: I use environment variables to check on which operating system I am (Windows, Linux, Maemo; I install several files in different locations, depending on the os). So, normally I build the package in scratchbox with a TARGET=maemo environment variable. This results in a .dep package with maemo file locations (/opt for data, icons and desktop file in hildon folders). Of course, this variable is not available on the server and the resulting .deb package does not contain my maemo locations. How do I check in my setup.py file if my package is build on drop.maemo.org? Or is there any other way to have different packaging mechanisms (file locations) for different plattforms? Or do I have to provide a second setup.py for the server?
