I'd've said no a few weeks ago, but I suppose "maybe" with noBounds; depending on exactly how much work the tablet does in a noBounds environment and how much is offloaded to another CPU.

Thanks for linking to the comments section; that's really far more useful in telling if it will work than the article.

Drivers only for Windows and OSX, so it will not work out-of-box. Feel free to buy one and try to reverse-engineer some Linux drivers, if you're so anxious, but a tip: Why go with a 1600x1200 right off? Seems even with a driver, the tablets might have trouble coming up with that many pixels to start with... a smaller one is probably more practical and cheaper.
