As there's no access to an equalizer in Sailfish OS..

I just found some presets in usr/share/gstreamer-0.10/presets/ which could be edited very easy. They are not in use yet I think; but what are they for? And is there a way to activate them?

really, nobody out there knows / cares about this?

I care, but do not have th technical nous to look further.

I so want the music player to be sorted. It is embarrasssing at the moment. However I would rather the fundementals get sorted first before an equaliser is added to the mix.

Such things as a search and/or quick scroll bar. Indexing of tracks that exist on an SD is problematic, they often dissapear from the media player but are still playable from file manager. Album view sorted by Album name. Information given in albums and tracks rather than hours and minutes. Proper reading of tags to that all greatest hits albums are not merged into one..... and there's more. all duly documented and sent to Jolla some time back.

On a plus side i find the sound quality to be very good.

I care as well. My headphones gives way too much bass so I have use Android audio players atm.
