I have expeted big problem for me, and that is email client only update over 3G (or 2G), but it is not updating automatically over any WiFi. It stopped working when I changed automatic internet connection only WiFi, before it was Any connection.

Now I changed back to any connection and it is still not working. It does not even send mails, they stays in outbox and that is it. I have set update automatically over any connection in email client.

WiFi is workinf fine for sure...

Thanks in advance

Is this true for all WiFi access points? I have the same problem when hooked up to WiFi @ work, Our network admin does not have the DNS setup to point the internal IP address of our Exchange server to it. I've solved the problem with an entry in /etc/hosts

Yes I am sure! I was using it at work and my home. And it does not work on either
But please tell me anyway how you solved with hosts? Or just send me the file

Simply add a line to /etc/hosts with the IP address to go to followed by the domain name. For example, if "yourdomainname.com" usually pints to 65.xxx.xxx.xxx but you are connected to a LAN that referemces the same server with an internal address of 192.168.2.25 add the following line to /etc/hosts:

192.168.2.25 yourdomainname.com

Let me know if you need more.

If you're running GMAIL, my solution will not work for you. Your problem is likely something else.

Good luck,

I have a new reouter at home and IMAP Mail updating is not working there. Works perfect in the office.

So you might want to see if its some firewall, security settings on your router causing the problem.

I am using a D-Link DSL-2740B at home.

When I try to send at home (it works in the office) I get a failed message in the outbox.

Is there any way to find out why sending failed?

Regards Markus
