The same issue with camera-ui, recording is simply not nice. DVD resolution is OK...
Playback is fine, also.
I had to set VDD1 and 2 to 0 as I had a lot of reboots....

@freemangordon...

one thing more i've noticed and i am not sure that it is common with all

prior to recording when we focus the target by soft pressing the camera key and then deep press to record it, the camera loses its focus and things become blurred...it has to be refocussed again...
is it happening with others too..?

thanks..

The only problems I`m seeing is at the first seconds of the video it stutters a little bit, but this doesn`t show on the actual video that is saved.....and also, it takes a long time to index the new videos in media player.The framerate is decent @900:600DSP.Excellent work!

Can't confirm. I've checked it thoroughly after Your report, and I'm 100% sure my focus isn't changing, between half-press and full-press of camera button.

Also, I've checked physically, that camera lens isn't moving on such step (recorder macro video of N900 camera - using other device - and watched it in slow motion).

Independently if "focus" problem exists or not it is in no way related to 720p recording, so please report that on appropriate thread (or raise a bug)

In your case I would recommend a GUI so HAM will fit your needs
