Hi!

For some reason YLE Areena (Finland's public broadcasting company's video site) has stopped working for me after PR1.3 update. And I'm not talking about the Flash version, which stopped working earlier after they updated the site. I'm talking about the mobile version (i.e. http://m2.yle.fi/w/areena/ ) which uses mp4-videos and rtsp-protocol instead of Flash.

The build in video player gives me the following error message (in Finnish):

"Yhteys videon suoratoistoon epäonnistui"

which roughly translates to:

"Connection to video streaming failed"

Anyway, it used to work and now it doesn't. Has anyone else experienced problems with Areena after PR1.3?

P.S. I DID try to search for previous post's about this subject. I'm sorry if I failed to find them.

Looks like there was just some kind of temporary problem with either my Internet connection or the video site itself. In any case, thank you for your quick replies!

Though there is a mobile version of Areena, it doesn't have all the content that the Flash version has. Some content is missing due to the entertainment industry's DRM requirements.

You can download Yle Areena videos to your N9 with yle-dl

Works much better over slow 3G connection than streaming and watching in the browser.

I've been using the Podcasts application to view "Yle uutiset minuutissa" and other recurring streams.
Works well, but adding the correct URL was a hassle.

Thanks for the tip. To avoid others hassle, could you share that correct URL?

Somehow this wasn't suprising... Thanks for pointing out it though.
