Ahh fek it ..
I thought chinese guy will fix it so I went to the shop where the chinese guys fix the phones.. An he said I might fix it ,but he couldnt..

I got told it couldn't be fixed and wasn't covered by warranty so I printed off a page from Nokia forum which says its a manufacturing fault and they agreed to fix it. Didn't get a new phone though, just a new main board.

You can always back it up in your micro SD.

Backup to your MicroSD, take it out, send the phone off, when it returns, put in the MicroSD and restore...
Try the BackupMenu app (can't remember if it is in devel repository or not, if it is USUAL WARNINGS APPLY)

OK... go to your local electrical retailer, camera shop or even supermarket and have a look at them in there. A 4Gb MicroSD will cost £10/€15 maybe?. Whether you choose to buy depends how much your data is worth to you.

Hang on... you are in Dublin? Try PCWorld / Argos / Toys'R'Us / Peats / Maplins / Tesco etc etc etc

Any standard MicroSD will do, it does not need to be a special one for the N900

Example: http://www.hallcameras.ie/catalog/?sel_category=69 has a 4Gb MicroSD in Dublin, for €20

Google is a marvellous thing...
