great theme but how come my status area menu hasn't changed. doesn't have that shiny effect and green colour.

Try copying over the matrix folder on your /usr/share/themes folder again and overwrite the current one to see if that fixes it.
Sometimes images don't get replaced/refreshed.

Great theme! I for the life of me can not get the lock slider to change though. Have done many reboots. I've checked the pngs on the phone and can confirm they are the green. Don't know what is going on.
