Hi all

Ive just updated my N900 to latest cssu-thumb (testing) and now Picodrive doesnt work.
I get "cannot initialize gstreamer - error creating pipeline" upon launching any roms.

Anyone else seen this?

I have reinstalled gstreamer-tools but still no go.

Thanks in advance

I just did a fresh install of picodrive on a n900 with the latest version of cssu-thumb, and I can confirm that ROMs fail to launch.

Recompiling it using the latest thumb packages fixes the gstreamer issue.

More interesting is to know is why the original version now fails...

Anyway, for those who are on the latest thumb and want to use picodrive again:

Code:
root
mv /opt/picodrive/picodrive /opt/picodrive/picodrive.org
unzip picodrive.zip
mv <(your just unzipped) picodrive (file)> /opt/picodrive/picodrive
chmod +x /opt/picodrive/picodrive
Attached Files
File Type: zip picodrive.zip (185.2 KB, 71 views)

Can you dig a bit deeper into that, I have NFC what picodrive is etc. It could be something with glib or glibc.

That would be totally meaningless, as we would end up with the same (non-thumb2) version created by the autobuilder that does not work with the latest thumb2 release. Or we should host in on some alternative thumb2 repo...

Any search enigine can tell you that it is a Sega Megadrive emulator, originally created by Notaz
The Maemo port is done very well BTW. It can be found in the maemo repos.

I could do some research, but I am afraid that I will end up with the conclusion: we need someone like FMG for this stuff.
