Dear all,

My N900 apps manager seems to completely stop working, it doesn't install or uninstall anything,

and it tells " application package not found"
and " There's no application" after pressing the download icon

it was working fine but suddenly it became to do internal errors and the above mentioned messages,

please advise as i'm desperately trying to fix it but i can't

Moved thread to Maemo 5/Fremantle.

Could you check the log (Application Menu (bar at the top) > Log?

Also, if you can become root, open an xterm, become root and run apt-get update . The error messages might be helpful.

I had this bug as well on my 1.1 firmware...
Shutdown and start the cell again...

Also update your firmware and get 1.2
Lesser issues like that

Same thing happens to me!!! It started happening today after I installed a new app called advanced power... It was supposed to show how much battery is left in percentage, it doesnt work, and guess what the app manager doesnt work now either, I cant uninstall that program... Yours might be because of an app you have installed too... Is there any other way than app manager to uninstall an app ???

UPDATE : Somehow app manager decided to work and I have uninstalled advanced power app... But now even when the phone has no app working on it, it gets warm? And battery goes down very fast... Any idea how to fix this ?
