Today my GameGripper arrived. I ordered the X-Box style.

The Good:

1) Construction seems sturdy. I don't think the buttons will easily come loose.
2) Hole for both the USB and Headphones are present meaning charging and listening via headset is possible.
3) Key presses seem responsive and the buttons hit the keys precisely so that no missfires are registered.

The Bad:

1) The side grips do not extend far enough in my opinion. The gripper holds the keypad but is easily slipped up and away from it - especially when playing a real button masher like Street Fighter.
An extra 3-5mm on either side would have meant the Gripper sides would have wrapped the keyboard more effectively and prevented this.
2) New Bad - the hole for the charger - not large enough to take either the standard N900 charger USB cable can be forced.. This is a semi major problem in my opinion. Lowering score until fixed.

All in all I give it 4.0 out of 5. It is great for on the go gaming and very portable.

How many simultaneous button presses maemo/n900 registers?

What do you mean by it slips up? Gamegripper slips on screen or keyboard (under gg) slips under screen?

I have had at least 2 keypresses register at the same time (IE Backwards Jump) Essentially when it slips it lifts off the keypad vertically - which could result in missed presses.

I just got mine in the mail and so far so good. I have tried Super Mario World and can say that at least 3 buttons can be registered at once. I did notice that the sides can slip up causing the far right and far left button to miss but I think once I get accustomed to holding it that won't be a problem.

I'm from RI, USA for anyone that is still waiting and wondering about theirs.

I have run into a problem with the N64 emulator. For some reason while in games the dpad presses do not register. When navigating the menus etc they work fine. I will investigate further

Dpad != Joystick. N64 allows dpad to navigate menus generally, but not in game.

Try mapping the joystick.
