Hi,

I am wondering if anyone has any idea on how to go about writing an application that will allow the N800 as a bluetooth device. By a bluetooth device I mean not as a PDA or computer, but pretend to be something else, say a keyboard.

One of the simplest examples would be to use the N800 as a bluetooth keyboard for another device.

Any suggestions on how to do something like this ?

Wondering the same. The N800 would be e.g. perfect as a hands-free kit - one could use the large display for contact amangement/number dialing, then the built-in microphone and loudspeaker for talking.

Very useful in the car or while working on the N800.

Thanks luketoh, that is very close to what I was thinking about.

In general, it would be nice if there could be a general framework for emulating BT devices, like keyboards, handsfree, PS3 controllers etc ...

I will look at the xkbdbthid code and see if it is possible to abstract the BT emulation.

I'm looking for something to convert my WM5 mobile device's keyboard to use on the N800 as a BT HID device. Somewhat the other way around. Then the pair would be great!

See this thread I started about it and some potentials...
