As I cracked my screen today by putting too much pressure on the screen, I am looking for a used Jolla instead of doing the 120€ repair via the Jolla service. Anyone having an used Jolla he wants to get rid off or know someone who doesn't use his anymore?

Cheers stefan

I got this price only indirectly via Kari's post that "The Optima screen replacement price has been updated during the summer and costs now days 120EUR including VAT." [1]

They told me 105 EUR (+transport)

But they also told me they have no spare parts at the moment.

Surely that can't be right.

Hi,

thank you for writing in.

Due to unforeseen situation with spare parts at this point in time we are not able to accommodate out of warranty repair requests for screen replacement.

We are working on resolution and will get back to you once we have more information.

Sincerely,
Jolla Customer Care"

Thanks for all the infos! So apparently getting an used Jolla is anyhow the only way to get a broken screen 'repaired' at the moment it seems

Has anyone ever disassembled a dead Jolla to get more information on the screen /digitizer? I only found the photos showing the PCB and Chipsets....

So I'll change this thread into "looking for used or dead"... x)

No idea. I opened one ticket and they told me how much it would cost, I said OK, please let me know how to proceed and they stopped answering.

I opened a second ticket, to prod them -- they sent the reply I posted and closed the second ticket. The first one is still open.
