I would like to know how decent it is? Ovi Maps is a mess to use, I would like to have a decent GPS software on my N900.

Would be a good time to get it since they slashed €10 off the original price.

i use sygic mobile maps 9.

its awsome. way better than my route66 sat nav unit.
but i would sugest a car charger as its a serious battery eater!!
i assume 10 is pretty much the same with slightly updated maps and ui.

i give it a positive 9 outta 10.

Have you asked Nokia directly when they will update N900 Maps version to same level as in all other Nokia phones supporting maps and navigation?. That is what they promised last January.

I wouldn't be holding my breath. If it has been almost a year with no joy, then Nokia has simply moved onto the next platform / device.

Sygic MM10 works well and is just about the best option at the moment - and into the foreseeable future.

cheers

Sygic 10 is great, very much like tomtom in user experience.

9 used to be more troublesome than 10.

I use it regularly now, and apart from its description of some roundabouts, its great.

I have found that it needs cell data to work out locations quickly, but this is more a gps limitation on the receiver in the phone I guess.

I would say 95% as good as carrying a dedicated market leading bit of gps kit with you.

The search is harder to use than with Ovi Maps imo, otherwise I'm using it weekly now
