Specifically, HDRCamera by Almalence and Sophie Cam by Nerd Attack! still put their images to DCIM and /MyDocs/sophiecam/, i.e. their preferred folders, but the gallery just doesn't show them. The gallery sort buttons do not have any effect, they are not hiding the images. The gallery does show images saved from web, and filters them correctly if I use the filter presets.
I can open the images taken by the forementioned apps via filebox - they open as supposed in their own gallery window.
On my mac I use picasa, sometimes I use it to remove the transferred images. That could have messed with some permissions on the N950.
