and you think a minor update will make a complete new experience???

By the way, I have no problem with my SD card. Bluetooth is still not good but has improved so far that I can live with it. Browser is somewhat outdated, but far away from terrible and there are alternatives like Webcat. WLan works without any problems for me.

...I think you are a little bit exaggerating.

Android chrome beta runs like charm. No browser problem!

Talking about need: @carlosgonz you sound desperate like a person a round closing time of a nightclub...

Runs on what exactly? There is no Android support on the XA2 yet, and it has been postponed again, at the eleventh hour, again.

Also, I tried to refrain from starting a browser war again, but sheesh! Given Google's track record, why anyone would use Chrome for anything is beyond me, but on Android it's even worse, as Google simply won't implement support for using extensions in Chrome for Android. One really must hate online privacy, to use Chrome on Android, I guess.

Sorry, but why would you release anything a couple of days before holidays, well except for security fixes maybe.
I haven't counted on "soon" to be december 2018.

I'm updating my old Jolla 1 to Sfos 3. I downloaded upgrade and now Sailfish os-logo and grey bar under it has been visible 20 hours.

Factory reset next or is my device bricked?

Do you have already tried to reboot? if yes, try recovery mode. If you can reach your device via ssh, try you can finish the upgrade via
Code:
version --dup
There are very good chances that you don't need a factory reset.

You likely hit the bug "Sailfish 3.0 update" (which is already "Tracked by Jolla"), look there for details and instructions.

BTW, do follow Jolla's guide how to upgrade SailfishOS at the command line in detail, including the section "Final clean up"!

Thanks! I think that new version is faster or at least it feels faster.
