have a look at this link http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=62135

it will shed some light on the confusion as there are a few different custom builds of hildon-desktop and some of them have merged the changes from the other builds.

Hey, just checking in. Purchased my n900 not too long ago.

First things first,

I think the most important thing I need to ask you guys is on how to get the fMMS settings for Maxis. I just can't seem to get it right. I tried downloading the settings from maxis and other websites i.e:

http://www.maxis.com.my/personal/mob.../index_mms.asp

http://www.activexperts.com/xmstoolkit/mmsclist/

and they just don't seem to work. Everytime I try to send or receive an mms, a popup reminder tells me that

Operation failed.
(101, network access unreachable)
Please check your settings.

Really appreciate it.

Besides documents to go premium (which is real pricey), are there any other document editors that you guys could recommend that are... free? hehehe

By the way, n900 really rocks!

Got some info for your question earlier for N900 user at MAXiS. For those whoever already have thier fMMS apps but can't use it, they can try edit as below:
Server name: Maxis
Gateway: 202.75.133.49
Port number: 9201
Server address: http://172.16.74.100:10021/mmsc
Sending size limitation: 100K
================
APN: net
APN name: maxis
APN password: wap
WAP gateway: 202.75.133.49
MMSC: http://172.16.74.100:10021/mmsc

Hope any of these (or combined) can help you.
