Hi,

I recently stumbled upon these Keyboards and wonder if they would work with the N900.

First one: KeySonic ACK-595 BT
There is already a KeySonic keyboard mentioned in another thread, but it's the ACK-340 with integrated touchpad and it's not working that good. Another choice would be the 3400 BT, which just has less keys than the 595.

Second one: a foldable, water resistant one from Chinfai
This looks like a pretty nice one, ideal for taking out, squeezing it in any pocket

Anyone heard anything about these devices?

The Chinfai refused to connect immediately, but this worked:
1) Enable keyboard in /etc/bluetooth/main.conf, as documented elsewhere.
2) Pair using the n900's normal bluetooth pairing user interface BUT use "0000" as the pass key.
Then:
3) dbus-send commands, as documented by JoHnY at 09-02-10 , 13:45 on:

This paired the keyboard, and as others have observed, the numbers, caps and function keys don't work.
I did not continue the process of installing the chinook files, because I didn't like the Chinfai. Couldn't type with it - easier to use the n900's own keyboard IMHO, so it's going back to the shop.

Thanks for your answer. I just ordered one of these as the main seller offered some for a very special price. So I hope I will get it this week and give it a try. I will tell the results.
