How would you make that UI wizard ?
c++ / python or qwidget / qml ... or html5 / phonegap , others ?
This could be a good project to experiment / compare technologies ....

I have great expirience with Python/QML (see my apps in my signature).
Python/QML is a bit slow on starting the app, but then runs fine.
To access rsync, I would simply run the terminal command from python.se

I did create a very basic dummy proof of concept for command line utilities in python ... does it matter ? and does anyone want to finish it w/ me ? rsync will be a good start ...

Why make it so difficult?
The most elegant and portable solution would be to have standard cron running on N9 and starting rsync from users crontab...

What we would need is a list of features and a development team
Also somebody who would dig into the needed parameters/configuration for rsync whould be needed.
