unfortunately a few days late to make an entry with my latest effort buddy.

But, if anybody is venturing into development for maemo for the first time, and plan to work with QT then I can be contacted for designs/QT development related questions, I'll be happy to help where I can.

I wish I could join the fun , will still try to.

good job with organizing and good luck !
hope this is a regular feature and not stop with this one.

cheers

Yes, the prizes offered are serious, just like we expect this community driven competition to be serious and bring cool new stuff for users.

One thing: what about a wiki page separate from this long thread so it's easy to spread the URL?

Yep, as yourself and jolouis above have suggested. a wiki would be a great help. I haven't made a wiki before, if anyone would like to start one off on the comp's behalf please feel free. Else I'll have a go at it over the weekend

krk969 thanks for the mentoring offer, I want to get as many beginners as we can involved so we may very well be calling on your expertise! I'll also hope to see an entry from you too though!

This should be stickied to the first page of the forum and posted to community news as well. This might be an unpopular suggestion but how about having the Maemo Community council involved as treasurers as they have been voted in by the community. I am willing to donate $10 to the cause (otherwise known as a beer, at least here in NYC).
Great Job!
