I'm not sure if it's possible to connect your MAC with N9.
On N9 install File Manager Beta from Nokia Store (the yellow one), then enable hidden files and folders and you'll find there .wallpaper folder.

I have another n9 which I've had no problem connecting. For some reason on the new one, it won't show the hidden wallpaper folder, even though I've enabled hidden folders on my Mac. Ill see if your solution works
I've allowed hidden files on my mac, and some of the hidden files appear on the N9 when in mass storage mode, but not the wallpaper folder
Another interesting note is that the n9 icon doesn't appear on my desktop when it's plugged in, just the standard usb icon as if a usb stick was inserted
