Rumors say that the 32G internal flash on the N900 is partitioned largely as FAT32. Can someone confirm or deny? Also, if I intend to use the N900 primarly as a Linux computer and not to store media, would it be possible to easily repartition the internal flash to be largely ext3 (leaving a relatively small FAT32 partition for media and other stuff that is needed for Maemo 5) without breaking the standard Maemo 5 install? Is there something in the design of Maemo 5 that would preclude this or make this difficult? Would it require doing much more than fdisk and mkfs?

Because of my experience with the previous version of the OS, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that all of your mentioned wishes will come true. You might first have to clone the OS to a microSD card, but my confidence is high that you will be satisfied.
