Since quite some time i am maintaining a version of Cacheme in the extras-devel repository. It was initially written for MeeGo, but the lack of any meego hardware made me return to maemo and the donation of a c7 made me port it to symbian (which actually is the nicest hardware for this as it has a megnetic compass).

It's a pure qt/qtmobility geocaching app. It started as a meego touch based app which i soon scraped as nokia marked meego touch as deprecated. Then i did some trial with qml which at that time there weren't any widgets or the like and i didn't want to code the entire ui myself. So i ended up with plain qt.

Here you go:
http://maemo.org/packages/view/cacheme/

Also available for Symbian, Windows, Linux and MeeGo.

I have been using it for few weeks now and it is probably best geocaching app for maemo.

Request:
-Gps accuracy in navigation mode
-Ability to log visits

Thanks!

Did you try AGTL yet? IŽd be curious about the pros and cons of both apps compared to each other.

Nice application for geocachers.
Is there any update coming for MeeGo Harmattan devices?

It works in N950, but the menu structures are like in desktop version of the application. I probably can find out the problem by myself, but it's better if this is fixed also to main code.

I can't install the newest update, because, so says apt-get, my libqt is too old. The problem then is that aptget removes libqtm-11-sensors and libqtm-11-location, but when I try to install libqtm-12 it says something about a broken pipeline and exits, leaving me without libqtm-11-sensors and -location, thus unable to install Cacheme all together... Can someone help me with this? I have a load of repos enabled, but I get the idea its not enough :P
I allready have the following repos enabled:
- fremantle ssu apps
- fremantle ssu mr0
- extras
- extras-devel
- fremantle
- latest maemo multi
- community testing
Thanks!

Hi guys! My Cacheme (0.8.13) stopped working today. It gives the error that the GCBrowser needs authentication. I allready deleted the config, but it didnt help. My username and password are correct, so thats not the issue.
Does anyone know whats wrong?
Thanks!
