Now this has been puzzling me for about 5 days. Browserd was running constantly at about 20 - 40% even after a reboot and not using the browser. This was really slowing the phone down and making it generally sluggish.
I tried killing Browserd over and over but it kept coming back. I had enough time tonight to pinpoint the very unlikely culprit.
FCAM
Not that I think back it all started the other day when I updated FCAM drivers OTA.
Just thought I would share this with you, Has anyone else experienced this? If so I will file a bug. If not I am going to examine my system see if there is a conflict anywhere.

ohm.
-browserd is just preloaded browser component so that it starts up quickly
- it should not take constantly cpu
- try clearing cache from browser and restarting browser and browserd after it
- if still cpu high then try to delete .mozilla directory

btw. why you are so sure that its fcam? you uninstalled it and browserd went back to idle?

Yeah I went through the whole usual processes. Cleared cache and deleted .mozilla. Then systematically uninstalled programmes that I had added or updated within the past week. In between each I killed Browserd and rebooted. Still kept coming back till I got to FCAM.
Like I said a very unlikely source of the problem and Im still a bit stumpt as to what happened.
My next step is to reinstall FCAM and see if problem comes back.

I uninstalled Fcam drivers but still "browserd -s 1911 -n RTComMessagingServer" takes 20% CPU and 6.6% Mem

Any advice how to track down what causing it?
Titans kernel and OC applied.

It's not SOLVED for me

Have you got Browser Switchboard installed?
What is the output of these commands when the browser is open and run again when the browser is closed.

Code:
pidof browser
Then
Code:
ps|grep browser
Post the output here.

Browser Switchboard is not installed.
Fennec 1.1 is and working version of adblock plus (1.1.1) in microb additionally Shake-N-Surf disabled (not able to uninstall)

Browser closed:
Code:
/home/user # pidof browser
1924 1921
/home/user # ps|grep browser
1395 user 41956 S /usr/sbin/browserd -d
1911 user 111m S /usr/sbin/browserd -s 1911 -n RTComMessagingServer
1921 user 3932 S /usr/bin/browser
1924 user 31060 S /usr/bin/browser
2126 user 62696 S /usr/sbin/browserd -s 2126 -n browserui
2257 root 2092 S grep browser
/home/user #
Browser open:
Code:
/home/user # pidof browser
1924 1921
/home/user # ps|grep browser
1395 user 41956 S /usr/sbin/browserd -d
1911 user 111m S /usr/sbin/browserd -s 1911 -n RTComMessagingServer
1921 user 3932 S /usr/bin/browser
1924 user 40808 S /usr/bin/browser
2126 user 97276 S /usr/sbin/browserd -s 2126 -n browserui
/home/user #
Browserd closed:
Code:
/home/user # pidof browserd
2527 1911 1395
/home/user # ps|grep browserd
1395 user 41956 S /usr/sbin/browserd -d
1911 user 114m R /usr/sbin/browserd -s 1911 -n RTComMessagingServer
2527 user 62696 S /usr/sbin/browserd -s 2527 -n browserui
/home/user #
Browserd open:
Code:
/home/user # pidof browserd
2527 1911 1395
/home/user # ps|grep browserd
1395 user 41956 S /usr/sbin/browserd -d
1911 user 115m S /usr/sbin/browserd -s 1911 -n RTComMessagingServer
2527 user 99660 S /usr/sbin/browserd -s 2527 -n browserui
2573 root 2088 R grep browserd
/home/user #

EDIT: When starting device from shutdown 3 min + and rtcom-messaging starts and then
"/usr/sbin/browserd -s 1812 -n RTComMessagingServer" starts eating CPU and memory.

Problem solved for me also.
Problem was caused for me Shake-N-Surf MicroB add-on from OVI shop.
After install I find it unusable for me. With Fast Application Manager I was unable to uninstall it. But after uninstall with default application manager and restart problem vanished.

I reinstalled fcam and still no problems with browserd anymore
