Would it be possible to make the following?

A schedul for every weekday to select silent or normal.

Option to silence calls, e-mail and/or SMS.
Option to let certian numbers thru.
Option to just silence unknown numbers.

Test for accelerometer movement before going silent.

Warn before going silent (Silent mode in 1 minute, click to abort)

Already implemented via "alarmed" and "system events scheduler"

Both these are in alpha or beta stages, but work nonetheless.

A profile could be created with no sound for SMS, email, whatever, and one could switch to it via above programs.

EDIT:

Brainstorm forums have a set format, with a brainstorm attached in the brainstorm pages (read stickies). Perhaps you should ask for user's opinions in another sub-forum, maybe N900, and if there are people who like the idea a brainstorm can be created and have people contribute.

Also, you can add your ideas to improving phone experience or another existent brainstorm(s), search first.

You are, of course, free to create a brainstorm related to above ideas, but two are already implemented and at least one is available via already-requested per-user ringtones, presumably there's going to be a setting fro no known user.
