Sorry, can you explain how in more detail? I can't figure out how to use this program, and there don't seem to be any good tutorials...

Edit: Never mind, I found a tutorial. I'm going to try it after class.

Okay, I've tried two versions of Pheonix, and neither of them support the Nokia N9.

Which version of Pheonix do I need to use?

Aww, really? I've spent the past four hours trying to make the program install and work properly...

Is there anything else I can try or am I screwed? I don't understand what could have happened...

So, following the first step of the MALF guide:

Code:
Jonathans-MacBook-Air:Nokia N9 Jonathan$ sudo flasher --load -k vmlinuz-2.6.32.20112201-11.2-adaptation-n950-bootloader -n initrd.img-rescue-2.6.32.20112201-11.2-n950 --boot
flasher 3.12.1 (Oct 5 2011) Harmattan

According to the guide, a new usb mass storage device is now supposed to appear. But it doesn't. In fact, as soon as the terminal says "success", my phone turns completely off...

Huh?

No, I haven't repartitioned anything.

However, some time ago, I DID reformat the myDocs partition to use a 4096 cluster size, as is outlined in this thread. It had seemed like a very safe (and obvious) tweak... it couldn't be what caused the problem, right?

Nope the 4kB block formatting isn't an issue...

Can you use fdisk to check if its detected in the first place? Then maybe you have to mount them manually?
