To get us back in topic, have you guys notice that Dell now offers a warranty for the N900?

I noticed that too. I was really considering purchasing it, but I've already placed my order. I wonder if it matters? I also wonder if I'll actually get my N900 on the 8th or the 9th.

Call them up. This is a great excuse to prod a bit more info from them.

PS: I noticed that the insurance appears to cover accidental damage. I wonder if they offer a less expensive insurance that would only cover manufacturer defects.

Do you happen to have a link to where it talks about the warranty or cost or anything? I'd be interested in this especially if it includes accidental damage.

Sure, just go the N900 page:

http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/p...9&sku=A3076016

Look on the right side of the page. It does include accidental damage. You may also want to consider getting your warranty from squaretrade.com. That is where I got mine from (3 years).

Wow, 130 bucks for 2 years? That's crazy. What did you end up paying for Square Trade? I tried looking into it this weekend but didn't have enough time to fiddle with it. I think it was quoting me around 60 bucks for 2 years, does that sound right?

Hi just called dell and they have no update from nokia for the n900 for the next shipment date. I guess there answer is nokia didnt know that dell had pre-orders before alot of the dates that alot of people got there orders shiped out before 11-5 orders. I got dell to refund my overnight shipping charges but will still be kept at overnight

my new total is 485.80 thats not bad...

Go here to get a coupon for SquareTrade:

Yes, you should be able to get much better deal from them, I think.
