There is some news in the Nokia N900 page
http://maemo.nokia.com/
I notice that there is an offscreen application in the graphics.
Offscreen is one of the main suppliers of app for nokia 5800, 5530 and n97 with an huge catalog (more then 60 app). Anybody know if their catalog will be available for maemo 5?

Well noticed. I assume you mean the image of the Connect Four-type game, that looks like "Disks Touch" (see Google Images search). Offscreen's website is http://www.offscr.com/. They don't mention Maemo there, but that doesn't mean they aren't working on it.

Basically, offscr folks have good insight on maemo, I've met them on Summit and they had bunch of small apps for fremantle ready. I recall some funny game with accelerometer, and a number of others.

Nice news. I really love their software. And it’s usually free. They have nice graphics and that’s something that linux is missing a lot.

I'd say Maemo's app situation doesn't look bad at all... with the strong community contributions, as well as support from Offscr and RovioMobile (both excellent small studios) there'll sooner or later be something for everybody - even fart apps!
